Heather Drake's Wedding

Heather's wedding this weekend was every florists' dream! I have been "playing" with flowers for over 10 years now and I finally got to design for a bride that was having her reception at the Calhoun Beach Club! I have so wanted to go there for years, and it was as beautiful as I thought it would be! Too bad my camera battery died by the time I got there...I have seen some professional shots though and will post them soon, they were awesome! This wedding was also amazing because I got to use Peonies and Hyrangeas! I also got to use my two favorite colors, Pink and Purple! I think my favorite part about this wedding was how the pew flowers doubled up as table centerpieces down the center of the huge oval head table...professional shots later will show you what I mean, it was a long and busy weekend!

Sara's Wedding

This weekends' wedding was all about color and it was so much fun! I love each and every wedding that I get to design because it involves my most favorite thing, flowers...but this one brought a ton of color into my house and got me excited for summer! Sara had a fun idea for her flowers, and wanted each of her bridesmaids' to carry a monochromatic bouquet, while her bouquet was then a mix of all the colors. This wedding also held a "deja-vu" moment, where I delivered the flowers to her church, and realized that I had been there before, but it was like 7 years ago! The wedding coordinator at the church was the same as before...small world...and even smaller that she remembered me! Super fun day!

Val's Wedding

This weekend was a holiday weekend so I figured that I could handle designing for two weddings. The first was for a super sweet bride that works with my eye doctor. I loved how she wanted to use a combination of purple and yellow. She also used my most favorite flower...purple hydrangea. I wish I could've seen how the bouquet looked later when the purple tulips opened...but of course I have to give my brides the flowers when they are at their freshest!

Amanda's Wedding

One of my old co-workers at Wooddale Church was married this weekend up in White Bear Lake and I was honored to be chosen as their floral designer. The bride knew just what she wanted for her flowers, and it all centered around a rich mix of red flowers! The garden roses added a rich texture, as well as the ranuculus that we almost weren't able to get. I was so excited about how it all turned out. My favorite part was how I finished off her bouquet by wrapping an old family handkerchief and pendant. I hope to get some professional shots, so please check back.

Jessica's Wedding

Tulips were in full bloom for this beautiful spring wedding! I again was super excited to design this weekend, but most of all excited to say that I got to bring flowers to a venue that I have always dreamed of going to...the 50th floor of the IDS! I can't wait to post some professional shots from this wedding, because even the ceremony site was amazing! I love the simplicity and elegance of all parts of this wedding...I just wish I could've seen what the tulips looked like later in the day when they opened up!

Jordan's Wedding

The theme for this beautiful January wedding was all Red! The Bridesmaids carried a super pretty bouquet of 3 different shades of red roses...beautiful, simple, and inexpensive. The Bride carried a bouquet of the 3 roses, hypericum berries, red dahlias, and red mini callas. We had hoped to incorporate Red Coxcomb too, but it was unfortunately off crop. Either way, I loved how stunning the bouquet turned out, and the day couldn't have been more perfect for this super sweet bride!

Anna's Wedding

This weekend I got to design for two weddings at the same time...it's always a bit crazy trying to fit two in, but it always gets done. The first wedding was on Friday for a family that I love and I was so honored that they let me design for them! The Bridal bouquet was a mix that any desinger would love to make...even my designer friend Ashley was jealous of what I got to do. Can you believe that I was able to pull together a mix of Peonies, Anenome, Scabiosa, Hydrangea, Berries, Queen Anne's Lace, and Seeded Euc together in Novemeber? Well, some of those flowers are available all year...but the Peonies? I tell ya, this wedding was prayed over, and even God brought us peonies at a decent price in the late fall! I so wish my small camera could show you just how beautiful this bouquet was, and how amazing it smelled!
